Jeremy joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in October 2024 as a solicitor working with Rebecca Sheriff within the Abuse Team. Jeremy specialises in bringing claims for compensation on behalf of survivors of abuse.
Jeremy has a strong track record of successfully representing individuals in both public and private law claims against the state and public bodies. As such, Jeremy has extensive experience representing vulnerable clients with complex needs and supporting survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, torture, trafficking and modern slavery. Jeremy seeks to provide exceptional client care to ensure the best outcome is secured for his clients.
Jeremy previously worked as a Community Care Supervisor at a leading legal charity that specialised in representing children and young people in the criminal justice system, successfully bringing claims relating to the failure to support young people leaving care or with disabilities.
Jeremy’s interest in public safeguarding duties started during his LLM at the Irish Centre for Human Rights. He took a particular interest in holding companies and public bodies accountable for the physical and sexual abuse of migrant workers and how survivors can overcome the numerous legal hurdles in place to bring these claims. Jeremy continues to support care leavers through the mentorship scheme at We Belong, assisting them in securing employment and work experience within the legal sector. Jeremy continues to be involved in external training regarding duties relating to the Care Act and Children’s Act.
