Evangeline is a trainee solicitor working within the Complex Injury team. She joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in October 2017. Evangeline assisted Tom Lax, undertaking work on a range of different clinical negligence claims with a focus on Adult Brain Injury. She assists in cases on behalf of those with brain injury and their families, including in circumstances where the patient has passed away.
She is also the firm’s court clerk, which gives her the opportunity to work with other teams in the firm, including the military claims and child abuse teams. She enjoys getting a wide range of experience at Court representing the firm’s various teams. This includes advocacy to obtain approval for consent orders, settlement orders and applications such as anonymity applications.
Her drive to work in a more people-focused sector led to her finding a job at Bolt Burdon Kemp, where she enjoys putting her energy into making a difference to the lives of injured people. She particularly enjoys being able to scrutinise potential claims in order to determine the specific issues of medical negligence.
Evangeline prides herself on her friendly nature and ability to be flexible in her work. Having previously worked in commercial litigation, Evangeline has gained exposure to a wide range of legal sectors including multi-national construction disputes and EU Competition Law.
She studied Law with Politics at the University of Sussex and completed the Legal Practice Court at BPP University in April 2020. Evangeline has the eventual aim of becoming a solicitor and upon qualification, hopes to specialise in Clinical Negligence.
