Amber Lawler

Amber is a solicitor specialising in personal injury claims. She joined Bolt Burdon Kemp as a newly qualified solicitor in September 2017.

Amber began her legal career as a paralegal in 2014. She managed a variety of personal injury and clinical negligence claims. She has also assisted with numerous complex cases. She worked on behalf of children and adults who had suffered injuries as a result of road traffic accidents, slips and trips, as well as medical negligence cases. Amber also gained experience in handling psychiatric claims.

When Amber gained her training contract in 2015, she was exposed to a wide range of complicated, high value cases; including clients who suffered severe brain injuries, amputations and complex orthopaedic injuries. She assisted on cases involving injuries at birth and cerebral palsy. During her time as a trainee, Amber attended a course on ‘Brain Injury Support Worker Training’ where she gained knowledge and understanding from not only the support workers who assist their clients but also the clients themselves.

As a trainee, Amber also gained experience in the costs department in which she had the responsibility of costing both personal injury and clinical negligence files. Amber is assisting Ben Pepper, Senior Solicitor, with personal injury claims for both adults and children. She has particular experience in cases involving road traffic accidents. Amber completed her law degree at the Nottingham Trent University in 2013 and went onto to study for her LPC at the University of Law in Guildford in 2014. Amber has volunteered at the Citizens Advice Bureau and the Surrey Law Centre, where she undertook pro bono work.
