BBK solicitor volunteers at Headway trip to the Olympic Park
On 13 July 2016, one of our Senior Personal Injury Solicitors, Ben Pepper, volunteered at a Headway South East London North West Kent (SELNWK) trip to the Olympic Park in Stratford, London.
Headway is a UK-wide charity that works to promote the understanding of brain injury and also to provide support for brain injury survivors, their families and their carers.
The day trip was attended by several of Headway’s members, staff and volunteers. The transportation from the charity’s centre in Bromley to Stratford, was very well organised. After refueling with a coffee, the attendees explored the park and admired the numerous artworks scattered around the area.
The tour ended with a visit to the top of the ArcelorMittal Orbit. The structure was built using recycled steel and at 114.5 metres is the UK’s tallest sculpture. From the top it is possible to admire not only the Olympic Park, but also the London’s very distinctive skyline
The members were very keen to see as much of the park as possible. They really did appreciate being given the opportunity to visit this landmark in a safe and friendly environment along with other brain injury survivors.
