Philippa heads the Military Claims Department at Bolt Burdon Kemp and has been a partner since 2011.
In the course of her career she has recovered damages totalling millions of pounds for clients injured through the negligence of doctors, employers and public authorities and has represented victims of serious crime.
Philippa has pioneered original approaches to securing compensation for her clients from the Army, Navy and Air Force who have been injured in action or training as well as by military and civilian health professionals.
She is a respected expert in litigation involving accidents such as shooting range death and non-freezing cold injury, and in military medical negligence claims arising from the treatment of complex and unusual conditions including post traumatic stress disorder and compartment syndrome.
Philippa is regularly asked to comment on military issues in broadcast media such as Sky News, Radio 4 World at One and Radio 5Live. She is frequently quoted in national international newspapers. She has also written for a number, including the Journal of Personal Injury Law, Independent, Guardian, Spectator and Huffington Post.
