Part of the Child Abuse Team
Olivia is a Solicitor in the child abuse team at Bolt Burdon Kemp having joined the firm in April 2017. Olivia works alongside Dino Nocivelli, assisting him in representing survivors of childhood sexual abuse in cases against religious institutions, the Scout Association, private schools and other organisations – particularly sporting institutions – as well as claims against individual abusers.
Prior to joining Bolt Burdon Kemp, Olivia represented clients in personal injury proceedings as well as in claims against the police and other public bodies. Olivia has comprehensive experience as to the complexities associated with bringing proceedings against large organisations as well as against multiple defendants. In addition to this, Olivia also has experience in pursuing Criminal Injuries Compensation Claims for victims of childhood sexual abuse.
Having completed her training, Olivia qualified as a solicitor in 2014. Olivia studied law at Leeds University and completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Birmingham before moving to London.
Olivia is passionate about providing support to young adults who are in a vulnerable position. She volunteers with Action for Children as an Independent Visitor – a befriending and mentoring service designed to provide one to one support to children in Local Authority care. Olivia also volunteers as a mentor with the Ashdon Jazz Academy, a charity that provides adolescent women experiencing self esteem issues, peer pressure, bullying, family issues and girls who may be involved in criminality/gangs. In addition to this, Olivia attends the Spires Centre in Tooting, London to assist with supporting vulnerable and homeless people in the local area.
