Andrew is a highly skilled and experienced Senior Costs Draftsperson in the Costs department at Bolt Burdon Kemp, with wide-ranging experience in representing Claimants in complex, high value, costs claim.

Before joining Bolt Burdon Kemp in 2003 he worked for a leading national costs drafting firm, Masters Legal Costs Services.

Andrew has developed his advocacy skills by representing numerous clients in a wide variety of cases at the Supreme Court Costs Office.

He acted for the Claimant in the successful Court of Appeal claim of Pentecost v John [2015 EWHC 1970 (QB) and the cases of AMH v The Scout Association and Elizabeth Nash v Ministry of Defence [2018] EWHC B4.  These cases have had a significant impact in shaping the regulations and statutory framework of The Civil Procedure Rules with regard to conditional fee agreements and costs budgets.

Andrew is able to utilise his skill and experience to undertake all types of costs work, including preparation of cost budgets and bills of costs, skeleton arguments, replies to Points of Dispute, advocacy in high value claims and costs negotiations.
