Raquel is an Associate Solicitor specialising in medical negligence with a specific focus on claims relating to spinal injuries and amputations.
Raquel is proud to be both Vice Chair for the SIA (Spinal Injuries Association) and Patient Representative on a specialist panel tasked with developing and drafting NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) Guidelines on pressure ulcers. The Guidelines (due to be published this year) will inform clinicians and patients on preventing and managing pressure ulcers in primary and secondary NHS institutions.
Raquel is a recognised and respected speaker on issues surrounding spinal cord injury and is frequently invited to lecture by APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) and the SIA on a variety of issues including conception, pregnancy and parenting, equipment needs and the psychological dimension.
