iPhone application to reduce the number of cycling accidents caused by potholes

The CTC have recently launched a free application for the Apple iPhone, with the tagline "You spot it...You log it...They sort it". This uses the phone's built-in camera and locator to report potholes to the responsible local authority so that they can repair them as soon as possible. Recent accounts have said that the application works well and does actually lead to results. As winter is now biting in, the number of potholes are due to increase, with January and February being the most prevalent months. I, for one, will be downloading the application and would encourage others to do the same, in the hope that the roads will be safer and the number of related cycling accidents will fall.
