Territorials in the frame

The Government now says it wants to cut the Army to 84,000 after 2014, and to (help) cover the difference by training up 5,000 Territorials for frontline ops. I’m not sure that will save money. Territorials take their injuries home with them, so is the MoD also going to train the NHS medics who will need to pick up on conditions less seen in civilian practice than in the Services, such as compartment syndrome, noise-related hearing loss or PTSD? If they don’t, there will be an increase in military compensation claims, either against the NHS or the MoD.
