PTSD; ignoring it doesn’t make it better

The media pays a lot of attention (at last) to Service personnel with PTSD who are not cared for after they leave the Forces. As a result, the handover to the civilian medical services is being improved. Still not addressed, though, is the huge in-Service problem of troops with PTSD which is ignored. A soldier gets into trouble after a tour – fights, goes AWOL, drinks (more than usual), all possible signs – but is deployed again. Result; worse PTSD, medical or even dishonourable discharge….and military compensation claim.
