Navy job cuts

Today many Navy personnel found out if they were to be in the first round of redundancies. Approximately 1000 redundancies were announced today, the first lot of 5000 jobs to be cut in the Royal Navy before 2015. Former Navy chiefs have expressed concern that the number of jobs lost will leave services stretched. We are already starting to see the impact of these job cuts, with mistakes in over-worked teams leading to more injuries and military compensation claims.
