MoD took billions from armoured vehicle budget

The MoD has “borrowed” £10.8 billion for the budget from the MoD for massive projects which haven’t delivered. MoD officials have admitted to the Public Accounts Committee at the House of Commons that they have been “indecisive and over-ambitious” on various projects, with the result that there was less money spend on essentials. The result is that our troops are sometimes left unprotected or with equipment that works on one terrain but not on others. This comes as no great surprise to us as military claims lawyers. We see the effect on the ground of trying to make do with equipment that works in one context but not another - chain guns originally designed for helicopters being adapted for use on Warrior tanks, for example. The result is often a life-changing injury.
