London Cycling Map

Cycle Lifestyle magazine has recently put forward the idea of a cyclists map of London. This would be clear and easy to use, and would correspond to a network of signs across the capital. Essentially, they are proposing the cycling equivalent of the London Underground map, and I think this is a great idea. For one thing, it should make it simpler for people to follow less dangerous routes, so will cut down on the number of cycling accidents. The map could also link up the docking stations for the London bike hire scheme to make it simpler for tourists to use the bikes as a means of transport to see the sites around London. Hopefully this idea will get the backing of TFL and will get rolled out soon.
