It was coming down from the trees that did the damage

We all have trouble with backs, ankles, knees... We’d be more comfortable swinging from the branches or trotting on all fours. The strain our strange upright posture puts on our skeleton makes us all prone to injury, and that’s all the more true for people in the Armed Forces, who are constantly on the move and carrying heavy gear. The moral is to look after yourself; seek help at the first sign of trouble, so you can get bad habits corrected. A lot of our compensation claims come from the medics’ failure to refer – so insist.
