Hit and run risk

It has been reported this week that more than 65 people are injured in hit and run collisions in London every week. Such collisions can result in the victim being either seriously or fatally injured. We saw only last week that 9 year Ayub Ahmed was run over in Harrow and left with significant injuries. The driver of the vehicle has still not been identified.
In the UK we have the benefit of the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB). The MIB are a government body who provide compensation for victims who have been injured as a result of an accident where the offending driver is either uninsured or cannot be traced. This means that people who have been involved in hit and run collisions may well be successful in claiming compensation for the injuries they sustained.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have been involved in this type of accident and would like some advice.
