Hair Dye Kills

I recently blogged about the fact that the hairdressing industry is not regulated and that the public need to be protected from unsafe practices and products that can cause significant harm and severe allergic reactions.
Only this week I have read two stories in the newspapers about two females suffering from severe allergic reactions from hair dye, both of whom required urgent medical attention due to severe symptoms, such as swelling to the face, soreness and weeping of the scalp, heartbeat racing, shortness of breath and extreme pain. Sadly one of the females, a 17 year old girl, died just 20 minutes after applying the hair dye.
Hair colouring is very popular amongst both women and men. It is frightening to hear such tragic stories and steps must be taken by the hair industry to prevent this from happening as far as possible.
If you have suffered an injury of this type and would like advice on this, please contact me by email or call me on 020 7288 4836.
