Gurkha hero honoured

Gurkha Sgt Dipprasad Pun is an extraordinary hero, and has rightly been honoured. He single-handedly beat off a hugely superior force of Taliban fighters, armed only, at one point, with a leaky sandbag and a machine gun tripod. Those of us who claim compensation on behalf of Service men and women injured by inadequate equipment should fear that the MoD will take the excuse to reduce supplies still further. Standard issue sandbag, anyone?
