Don’t Bottle up PTSD

We don’t often wholeheartedly support an MoD initiative, but the Don’t Bottle It Up campaign, launched on World Mental Health Day, is a winner. The idea is to encourage Service personnel to be aware of the signs of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder following deployment, and head long-term problems off at the pass. I would be happier still if I could be sure the medics and chain of command were getting the same encouragement. For my clients with military compensation claims, PTSD has been mainly a management and medical issue, and their cries for help have not been heeded.
