Disability and sex workers

Just read an interesting article in Forward magazine which discusses the use of sex workers for those with disabilities. Apparently the government has no objection to disabled people using part of their council funded personal budgets to pay for sex workers. Invoking and asserting the right of disabled people to develop personal and sexual relationships under Human Rights Act is at the forefront of this campaign. It would certainly be interesting to see how far one could claim the cost of such activities if it provides a therapeutic or rehabilitative effect. Maybe we will soon see another head of loss commonly being claimed as part of a compensation claim for those with catastrophic injuries.
