No one likes going to the dentist, but for most people at least there are not any unpleasant consequences after you leave the dentist’s chair. Not so for some military personnel. Many people will be surprised to hear that dental health is extremely important in the forces. A sore tooth or swollen gum can easily escalate into something very serious that can’t be treated in the field. We have seen a number of military compensation claims brought for personnel who have missed out on operational tours or training due to poor dental care, leaving them out of pocket and affecting their career prospects.
