British roads pose risk to drivers

According to a newspaper article this morning as many as 10% of our motorways and A-roads pose a risk to drivers. Half of all those crashes happen on just a tenth of main roads, with West Midlands the safest and Scotland the most dangerous areas to drive in Britain. Studies show that the most dangerous road is the steep, rock face edged Peak District spanning A537 between Macclesfield Cheshire and Buxton Derbyshire. This is not the first study to show the danger that these roads pose. I had previously read an article about this last year and I am amazed that nothing has been done to improve these roads and reduce the number of accidents.
