This was an interesting presentation provided by those specialising in brain injury claims, in particular brain injuries sustained at birth. Often these claims do not settle fully until the child is about to become a teenager and it is the parents who have to find the money or resources to look after their child with no guarantee that compensation will be secured. The role of interim payments to assist those in this position was emphasised and the impact it can have in securing early rehabilitation which in turn can improve someones prognosis.
