Archbishop in trouble

The Archbishop of Liverpool has failed in his attempt to thwart a claim by my client Mr Thompson who alleges abuse by priests at a Catholic seminary in Lancashire in the 1970's. The Archbishop was using a technical argument in an attempt to get the courts to consider the delay in my client bringing proceedings first, before the evidence supporting his claim could be heard. The Court of Appeal this week rejected the Church's attempt to argue the point, having already lost in the High Court twice last year. My client will now at least be able to put his whole case to a Judge at trial: A victory for justice and my client's rights to full access to the courts.
