We regularly receive queries from clients who are unsure about making an AFCS or Armed Forces Compensation Scheme claim. We are often asked is whether it is better to claim under the AFCS or via a military compensation claim against the MoD. The good news is that you can do both, and the claims can run at the same time. In any military compensation claim we take account of money already awarded by the AFCS, and the compensation we receive for our clients is nearly always much larger than an AFCS award. You do not usually need a solicitor to make an AFCS claim and it is well worth considering this additional way of receiving compensation.
