Defence Secretary Liam Fox is fighting a heroic rearguard action to reduce the cuts at the MoD from catastrophic to just damaging. More power to his elbow. But supposing the MOD followed its own guidelines – on PTSD, on cold injuries, on training accidents - and so avoided injuries in the first place? The saving in military compensation claims would be enormous, and my clients – well, they wouldn’t need to be my clients…
