Suzanne Trask Ranked in Chambers UK

Suzanne is an Associate at Bolt Burdon Kemp specialising in clinical negligence claims.

She is listed as a key individual and an ‘Associate to Watch’ in the 2012 edition of Chambers UK, an independent guide to the legal profession. She “impresses sources with her winning combination of technical skill and great client care. Clients note that she is "always prepared to go the extra yard."

Suzanne has a particularly strong interest in dealing with cases involving a delay in diagnosis and misdiagnosis of cancer, including haematological malignancies. She has experience in cases involving many types of cancer.

She also has experience of acting for sport professionals in relation to the medical treatment received after a sports injury. She has represented many child claimants and adult claimants who lack mental capacity.

Suzanne gained a first class LL.B Law degree and achieved a distinction in a postgraduate diploma in Anatomy and Physiology at Oxford College. Suzanne qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and was promoted to Associate in April 2010.

During her career to date Suzanne has established and maintained strong relationships with several charities, including Headway, the Spinal Injuries Association and Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA), where she has been a volunteer helpline advisor since 2006. Suzanne is now focused on working with cancer research and support charities.

She is coordinating the firm’s participation in the pilot of the APIL Multi-Track Code for personal injury claims with a value of over £250,000.

Suzanne is an Associate member of the Royal Society of Medicine, and is individually accredited by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) as a Senior Litigator.

Recent cases include –

  • A claim against two GP’s for a delay in diagnosis of diabetes, leaving the claimant severely debilitated
  • Claims relating to the delay in diagnosis of cancer, of which some had become terminal when eventually diagnosed
  • Claims for the delay in diagnosis of compartment syndrome, leading to permanent disability
