But it was worth it to meet my client. She is turning 18 next week and is happy to take over from the Official Solicitor in her case against the local authority for their failure to take her into care when she was a baby after she suffered a non-accidental brain injury. The Official Solicitor and I agree that despite her injury she is able to manage the litigation and I'm really looking forward to working with her to a successful conclusion. I think she is quite excited by the responsibility and I'm sure I can tempt her to Islington for a nice lunch some time!
