As a personal injury solicitor with an interest in cases involving clients who have suffered amputations I was interested to read a story in the paper about a gentleman who, sadly, became paralysed from the neck down following a motorbike accident which left him quadriplegic. However, thanks to modern technology, surgeons and scientists were able to insert a microchip into his brain and attach a robotic arm, which amazingly is controlled by thought alone. He was able to use brain power and his eye to guide the device to touch his girlfriends hand for the first time since the accident seven years ago.
