PTSD is no easy way out

Andy McNab hasn’t been talking to my clients when he says soldiers are using Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as an excuse to get out of serving their full term in the Army. You can’t fake PTSD, and being what McNab calls “resilient” doesn’t protect you from a condition that is real and disabling. It would help if the military authorities would recognise and treat it early. If they don’t, the victim will really go under and need lifelong care that often has to be provided through a compensation claim. But I don’t suppose McNab approves of that, either!
