Perhaps, however these were both issues covered by a training course I attended today held by a barrister's chambers. With my experience of cases involving a delay in diagnosis in meningitis, delays during the delivery of babies resulting in brain damage, and also negligent medical treatment provided to footballers, I found this training session very useful. Regarding the latter, we heard from the First Team Medical Officer at Chelsea FC who provided an insight into his work with the players. This is an emerging niche area of practice within clinical negligence, in which I have an interest.
