It has been a historic week for cycling in London. Bike Week 2009 encouraged cyclists in Islington with free road maps and bike servicing. The tube strikes meant that many people took to cycling to work rather than face a grim commute, especially since the weather was nice. To top it off, there was a nude cycling parade in Hyde Park - although I did not take part! Hopefully these will combine to get more people cycling in London and to make drivers more aware of the cyclists on our roads.
