As an active member of Headway (a charity set up to give help and support to people affected by brain injury), and coming from East London myself, I recently attended Headway East London, a community where people who have suffered from a brain injury can make a fresh start. I was really impressed by the facilities and activities they have, ranging from group discussion sessions, to arts and crafts lessons, to music classes, physiotherapy and a whole lot more. All the staff, volunteers and members are such great people and made me feel so welcome. It was a great day out and I will certainly be going back again for more visits, and I am also excited about getting involved in more fundraising activities in the near future!
