The other day I read about the case of Mr Kerslake who was the teacher killed whilst cycling home from his school in Greater Manchester. The diabetic driver, whose insurance covered the compensation claim, had suffered a hypoglycaemic attack whilst at the wheel. He lost control of the vehicle which hit Mr Kerslake’s car from behind, leaving him with fatal injuries.

His family were awarded compensation of £580,000 as a result of his fatal accident.
