Cyclists want Motorcyclists out of Bus lanes for no reason

LCC a cycling group have demanded motorcycles be booted out of London’s bus lanes because of the number of accidents or near accidents caused by the two sharing the lanes. LCC have been asked to cite a single collision between a motorcyclist and cyclist since the trial started in January and have failed to do so. The group has however made a fresh appeal to London Mayor Boris Johnson to pull the plug on the 18-month trial, claiming it will ‘increase road danger for both pedestrians and cyclists’. Transport for London (TfL) recently said there was ‘nothing at this stage’ to indicate a single collision between a motorcyclist and cyclist in the trial. Seeing as there is no evidence to support the cyclist's concerns it may well be that the trial has proved successful so far and I can't see why both cyclists and motorcyclists are not able to share the bus lanes safely.
