Conquering Ben Nevis for Headway

October 06, 2009

I am delighted to say that I, along with several other daring volunteers, succeeded in climbing Ben Nevis on Sunday 20th September to raise funds for the South East London and North West Kent branch of Headway. Headway supports people who have acquired head and brain injuries, along with their families and carers, and provides an invaluable service to its members. This particular branch is based on the grounds of Goldie Leigh Hospital near Welling, and has a drop in centre in Southwark, and a development worker based in Kings College Hospital, to provide discharge planning and signposting services.

This climb follows a similar fundraising event in 2007, when we succeeded in climbing Scafell Pike in the Lake District. Who knows where we will go next! It's not too late to sponsor me for the climb, so if you would like to do so, please Contact me directly.  Many thanks for your support.
