Compensation for dog bites

The government is proposing to introduce measures that would mean all dog owners would have to insure against their pet attacking someone. Each week, more than 100 people are admitted to hospital after dog attacks but if the owner does not have insurance, often it can be difficult for the victim to get compensation. Some level of insurance would therefore seem to be a sensible measure.

One problem is that the new proposals will not help to reduce the number of dog attacks but at least it would allow the victims of dog bites some form of recourse. If you have been the victim of a dog bite and would like some advice as to whether you have a case, please get in contact.
