Florence Marathon 2009
We did it - this year we raised over £15,000 for the NSPCC. Thank you to everyone that supported us.
Every other year or so we like to make a humongous effort to raise money for charity! This year 13 of us ran the Florence Marathon on 29 November 2009 - yes we ran 26.2 miles to raise money for the NSPCC. We are delighted that we all made it!
Training for a marathon is not easy but raising the money for our chosen charity also needs a lot of effort. We attacked on many fronts including a fantasy football league, a raffle, a lottery, a party and perhaps most importantly of all just asking our clients, friends and relatives for cash.
Bolt Burdon and Bolt Burdon Kemp paid all the expenses of this effort including travel, flights, race entry. This means that every single penny donated went to the NSPCC to help stop cruelty to children.
You can still make a donation by visiting the Just Giving Website - www.justgiving.com/florence2009
or send a cheque to "Bolt Burdon"
