Sonita is a member of the professional negligence team and joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in 2010. She has experience in pursuing solicitors for various instances of negligence, arising out of property, fraud, litigation and bankruptcy matters. She also has some experience in challenging professionals’ costs, including those of solicitors and insolvency practitioners.
Sonita studied English Law and French Law, and as part of her degree she spent one year at university in Bordeaux studying Law. She completed her Legal Practice Course part-time at the College of Law, Guildford, whilst at the same time undertaking her training contract. She completed the final year of her training at a firm near St Paul’s cathedral, in the commercial litigation department. Following qualification in 2008, she worked at a niche litigation firm in West London undertaking a mix of professional negligence, insolvency and general litigation cases.
Outside of work, Sonita enjoys cooking, reading, salsa dancing, relaxing to yoga, and is learning to play the piano.
