Ruth joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in September 2010 as a newly qualified solicitor specialising in clinical negligence and personal injury claims.
Career
Ruth trained at Curwens, a North London firm, where she gained experience in personal injury claims ranging from minor slips, trips and falls to catastrophic injury and fatal accident claims.

University of Kent – Law (LLB), Upper Second Class Honours
College of Law, London – Legal Practice Course, distinction.
Personal
In her spare time Ruth enjoys music, travelling, cooking and socialising. She also enjoys regularly visiting her family on the Isle of Wight.
Recent cases
Recent cases include:-
- A claim surrounding the care of an elderly patient whilst in hospital. Failure to assess the patient’s risk of pressure sores or to provide a pressure relieving mattress resulted in him developing serious pressure sores.
- Several cases involving suspected delay in diagnosis of cancer.
- A negligently performed caesarean section resulting in a bladder perforation, which the hospital then failed to diagnose.
