Raquel is a solicitor at Bolt Burdon Kemp specialising in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury claims.
Raquel trained at Bindmans and joined Bolt Burdon Kemp as a newly qualified solicitor in July 2008, qualifying in September 2008. Raquel specialises in personal injury and clinical negligence work. She has her own caseload and also assists other solicitors with high value claims involving brain damage, spinal cord injuries, fatal accidents, accidents at work, injuries sustained during medical treatment and road traffic accidents.
Raquel has a special interest in spinal cord injuries and disability issues, and has given presentations and lectures on paralysis and wheelchair access. She is a member of APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers).
She has also worked as a legal advisor for the Citizens Advice Bureau, and prior to this, as a Teaching Assistant at a secondary school in West London where she co-ordinated the Magistrates Court Annual Competition.
Outside of work Raquel enjoys hosting dinner parties, socialising and reading. Raquel also enjoys fundraising and volunteering with the Spinal Injuries Association and Newman Holiday Trust.
