David read law at Queen’s University Belfast, before moving to Devon and completing his Legal Practice Course at the University of Exeter and his training contract at a specialist personal injury practice.

Over the last four years David has successfully acted for hundreds of victims of personal injury, relishing the opportunity to act for those whose injuries have had a devastating effect on their lives. David has successfully recovered compensation for clients who, through injury, have been forced to give up their careers and who have relied upon him to recover sufficient compensation to replace their lost livelihood. David has also acted for many families of victims who have sustained fatal injuries.

In 2009, whilst maintaining his existing personal injury practice, David undertook a 9 month stint in a respected family law firm’s care proceedings department, acting for children in care. It was here that he learnt of the extent of the injuries suffered by victims of child abuse and this sparked his desire to represent such victims in securing compensation for their ordeals.

In September 2010 David joined Bolt Burdon Kemp’s child abuse and human rights teams and acts for both adults and children who have suffered abuse at the hands of family members, scout leaders, teachers, clergymen and others who have abused their position of authority.

David prides himself on his ability to lead his clients through what can at first seem like a complicated and daunting legal process by providing clear cut advice and ensuring that his clients understand and are at ease with each step in their case.
