Cheryl qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and is a Partner with Bolt Burdon Kemp.
Cheryl has successfully obtained compensation for hundreds of clients who have been injured in all sorts of situations. She has considerable experience of all types of personal injury claims including accidents at work, assaults at work, occupational disease, accidents involving children, injuries caused by negligent hairdressers, masseuses, animals, road traffic accidents, slips/trips and occupiers liability.
Cheryl is a skilled litigator and is extremely committed to her work and her clients and prides herself on being a good listener. She has a special interest in accidents and assaults at work and clients who have suffered a brain injury. Cheryl has acted for clients with severe traumatic brain injury and also those with mild brain injuries. Cheryl is also developing an area of expertise in relation to clients with chronic pain syndromes including fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.
After completing her LLB Law Degree, Cheryl took some time out to travel around Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia, before returning to embark on the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law where she was awarded a Commendation. Cheryl successfully completed her solicitors training with a firm in East London which was well regarded for its personal injury work, particularly for the work that it carried out on behalf of various trade unions. This enabled Cheryl to gain considerable experience in relation to accidents at work cases. Cheryl continued to develop her skills and experience and joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in 2004.
Cheryl is a Senior Litigator member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, and a volunteer at the Islington Law Centre. To compliment her work on behalf of head injured clients, she is a committed member of Headway - the brain injury organisation - and she is on the fundraising committee for her local Headway group. Cheryl writes articles for the legal press.
Outside of work Cheryl enjoys yoga, comedy and film and is an Advanced Scuba Diver.
